Almond Popsicles. Inghetata de Migdale

Well here we go with another awesome, healthy and nutritious recipe of popsicles. It's summer and we sure can't stand in the way of the freshness of an ice cream. I know I can't. Then why not have it? But in a slightly different form :) Again, with no milk, whipped cream, eggs or sugar. But still having lots of calcium, fiber, iron, vitamin E and most significant, monounsaturated fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids, wich in ordinary/traditionally ice cream you don't find.

So instead of cashews, wich I frequently use in my ice cream recipes or any raw desserts, I said why not try something new. And so I did :) The result? An eye catching creamy milk. To be more precise, an eye catching almond milk, with a delectable hue of red. 

Finally, I must say and point out that this ice cream is so good and so healthy for you that you should include almonds in your every day diet. Many articles have been written about the health benefits of this extraordinary oilseeds.


Eating a diet rich in almonds improves blood vessel health and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, according to a study conducted by researchers from Aston University and published in the journal Free Radical Research.

Prior studies have suggested that eating almonds can provide health benefits as diverse as improving bone health, managing blood sugar, helping to control weight, preventing hair loss and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Also, almonds boost antioxidant levels. (Source)

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup raw almonds pre-soaked
- 1 cup boned cherries
- 1 TBSP honey (depends on your taste)
- 1 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS:
Add the almonds, honey and water in your blender and mix for a few seconds. 
Pour the creamy milk in desired shapes adding along the way a few cherries.
Put in the freezer for a couple of hours.


Ei bine, astazi vom continua cu o alta reteta delicioasa, sanatoasa si hranitoare de inghetata. Este vara si cu siguranta nu putem sta in calea prospetimii unei inghetate. Eu stiu ca nu pot. Atunci de ce sa nu o avem? Insa intr-o forma usor diferita :) Din nou, fara lapte, frisca, oua sau zahar. Dar avand o multime de calciu, fibre, fier, vitamina E si cel mai important, acizi grasi mononesaturati si acizi grasi omega-3 care, in inghetata obisnuita/traditionala nu gasim.

Deci, in loc de caju, pe care il folosesc frecvent in retetele mele de inghetata sau deserturi crude, am spus de ce sa nu incerc ceva nou? Si asa am facut :) Rezultatul? Un acaparator lapte cremos. Pentru a fi mai precisa, un acaparator lapte de migdale cu o nuanta delicioasa de rosu.

In sfarsit, trebuie sa spun si sa subliniez ca aceasta inghetata este atat de buna si atat de sanatoasa, incat ar trebui sa includeti migdalele in dieta voastra zilnica. Multe articole au fost scrise despre beneficiile acestor extraordinare oleaginoase asupra sanatatii.

O dieta bogata in migdale imbunatateste sanatatea vaselor de sange si reduce riscul de boli cardiovasculare, potrivit unui studiu realizat de cercetatori de la Universitatea Aston si publicat in revista Free Radical Research. 

Studii anterioare au sugerat faptul ca migdalele consumate zilnic pot oferi beneficii de sanatate la fel de diverse ca si imbunatatirea sanatatii oaselor, gestionarea zaharului din sange, ajutor in controlul greutatii, prevenirea caderii parului si scaderea tensiunii arteriale si a colesterolului. De asemenea, migdalele ajuta la cresterea nivelului de antioxidanti. (Sursa)

INGREDIENTE:
- 1 cana de migdale crude (inmuiate in prealabil)
- 1 cana cirese dezosate
- 1 lingura miere (cantitatea in functie de gust)
- 1 cana apa

INSTRUCTIUNI:
Adaugati migdalele, mierea si apa in blender si mixati pentru cateva secunde.
Turnati crema in formele dorite si adaugati pe parcurs ciresele dezosate.
Puneti in congelator pentru cateva ore.
